Who we are
Solid Farms began in 2019 as a prototype poultry operation, initially producing just 3 crates of eggs daily for residents of the Apowa Highways Estate in the Western Region of Ghana. Within seven months, word spread—customers from the greater Apowa township and even Takoradi began placing orders, many of which exceeded our production capacity. This overwhelming demand validated the potential of the farm and the need to scale operations.
In February 2023, we broke ground on a full-scale facility designed to house 4,000 birds. Construction is now complete, and we are preparing for the next phase: stocking and brooding an initial batch of 3,000 birds using a battery cage system. With a projected production rate of 75%, we aim to produce approximately 75 crates of eggs daily—enough to meet current demand and stabilize supply.
As part of this journey, Solid Farms plans to establish its own poultry processing plant, enabling the production and distribution of a wide range of poultry products tailored for the African market.
